The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart is much more than just a place for car enthusiasts - it is a fascinating journey through 140 years of mobility history and technological innovation. Located in the brand's home town, the museum tells the story of one of the world's most renowned car manufacturers and impressively demonstrates how Mercedes-Benz has shaped the development of the automobile.

The exhibition: A journey through automotive history

The museum extends over nine levels and offers an impressive collection of more than 160 vehicles and around 1,500 exhibits. The exhibition begins with the origins of the automobile, when Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler developed the first motorized vehicles, and takes visitors through the various eras of automotive history.
Highlights include the legendary Benz Patent Motor Car from 1886, the world's first automobile, and the iconic Silver Arrows, which made motorsport history. But the collection also includes modern and futuristic concept cars that give an insight into the mobility of tomorrow. This diversity not only shows the technological development, but also the change in design, function and social requirements.

Interactive experiences and exciting insights

The Mercedes-Benz Museum offers far more than just exhibits: Interactive displays, multimedia installations and informative texts make the visit an experience for young and old. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of automotive technology and gain exciting insights into the challenges and achievements of the industry. Topics such as sustainability, electromobility and autonomous driving are covered, as well as historical events that have influenced the development of the automobile.

Architecture: A masterpiece of innovation

Not only the exhibits, but also the building itself is a real highlight. Designed by the architecture firm UNStudio, the museum impresses with its spiral construction, which is reminiscent of a double helix. This innovative design allows visitors to experience the exhibition in a flowing tour without having to climb stairs or change floors. The shape of the building symbolizes the dynamism, innovation and constant progress that the Mercedes-Benz brand stands for.

An experience for the whole family

The museum offers numerous activities that make a visit a highlight for the whole family. In addition to special guided tours for children, there are interactive stations that will also delight young visitors. Restaurants and a museum store with exclusive Mercedes-Benz products also ensure an all-round successful experience.
